Woody's Story

Woody was bred by a very special lady who was a close friend and instructor to me and my mom. She was a Level 3 student and was fantastic at handling horses. She gave Woody to Terrie when he was a weanling for her to work with and enjoy. He was trained by Terrie who practices Natural Horsemanship. When Terrie heard that I was looking for a new horse to work with because Sassy wasn't working out, she thought of Woody. So we went out to look at him and I instantly fell in love with the fat pony. In the end we ended up trading Sassy for Woody, and he came to live with us. Now we are working to together to build a great relationship by playing and having fun everyday. He is an amazing pony who is capable of great things. He definitely has a bright future in front of him!

More About Woody's Horsenality

Woody is a very left brained horse. I believe he is innately a Left-Brained Introvert, and this is the side that he shows when he is in an environment that is familiar to him. However, when he goes outside his pasture or round corral he completely drops that Horsenality and becomes a Left-Brained Extrovert; very curious, playful, exuberant, and higher energy. He also acts this way when I'm teaching him something; he gets interested and engaged and starts becoming mentally involved. He's a wonderful horse, but flip-flops a lot between LB Introvert and LB Extrovert. He is a great challenge for me because he has made me become very aware of what Horsenality he might be, and I have definitely had to tune up on my horse reading skills!
